Apparently I need to read this one again because I cannot tell you I remember it chapter by chapter. Spiritual Leadership is a Christian leadership classic that focuses less on techniques and more on the character, cost, responsibilities, tests, and disciplines of the person who leads.
What has stayed with me is the premise that spiritual leadership is about becoming the kind of person God can entrust with influence. Sanders draws from Scripture and Christian biography to emphasize humility, prayer, discipline, courage, perseverance, and the reality that leadership carries a cost.
There is probably a reason this book has remained a Christian leadership classic for decades. I’ll put it back on my “to be read” stack after graduation.
