Everybody loves Bob Goff, and if you don’t, you probably will after reading this book. Through personal stories and humor, Goff challenges readers to move beyond admiring Jesus’ teachings and toward actually practicing generous, courageous love through presence, hospitality, service, and attention to people who are easy to overlook.
I grabbed this as a vacation read because it is warm, funny, and incredibly accessible. But Goff has a way of sneaking conviction into the story without making you feel lectured. You start out enjoying the anecdotes and somehow end up asking yourself whether you are actually loving people as generously, courageously, and practically as Jesus calls you to.
